HOW TO START
MY APP CHANGES ON THE WEBSITE ARE NOT APPEARING IN THE APP?In MII APP you need to press the button on the front page, enter your app name and website login credentials (your username or email address and password) and hit 'Refresh'. Then you need to exit (close down) the app. This clears the app images from the phone memory.
Once you have Refreshed once, the appname and login credentials are saved and you will not need to re-enter them next time.
With MII APP, if you want to remove all your changes and get back to the original demo, just enter "mii.demo" (lowercase) as the app name. The credentials are ignored.
THE BUTTON TEXT IS LARGER THAN THE BUTTONSThere is limited space on the buttons for text. The app tries to split it into different lines so you can fit more, but you may need to change or re-arrange the text to get the best look.
HOW TO SHOW AN IMAGE IN BETWEEN TEXTWhen you add an entry with an Image, the Image will display at the top, with the text underneath. If you want the image to display within the text, simply split the text into two. Add the first portion of text and "submit". Then add the image and the last portion of text.
I CAN'T EDIT MY CONTENT WITH MY PLAY STORE APP NAMEYour Appname used on this website is not the same as the "name of your App" as it appears in the Play Store Listing. Your website Appname is by default the first portion of your email address. e.g. FredBloggs@gmail would usually have an AppName of "fredBloggs". If the title of your App on the Play Store is "My Struggles" - then this is the App Name that is published. On the website and in the unpublished Mii App you would always use "fredBloggs".
THERE IS NO BUTTON ON MII APP! I CAN'T UPDATE IT!The App comes with the button to allow you to Refresh the app. If you Publish your app it is no longer the default "Mii App", but a new app that is uniquely yours. This published app which you will distribute to your friends and fans does not have the ability to be "refreshed" by the end-user. You, as the author can carry on making changes to the app as often as you like, and these changes will be picked up by the users app each time it is opened.
Typically, you might retain your original Mii App (that has the button), and also download your unique published app (that has no button).
MY PUBLISHED APP WAS SETUP TO BE "FREE" BUT NOW I WANT TO CHARGE FOR IT.Once you have set your published app as FREE, Google does not allow you to change it. If you do want to SELL it, it will need to be re-published as a Brand New app. Your existing users would never receive any bug fixes we apply to your app. (but they will receive content changes that you make.) (internally it is a different app.)
BUTTON SHOP 4When you are sizing your buttons in Button Shop 4, the actual dimensions are 2px bigger than you think. The correct size is what you see on the left hand side where the name of the button is shown. Google will reject icons that are not Exactly as specified. (512x512, and 1024x500).
THE TITLE IS TOO BIG/SMALL OR IN THE WRONG PLACE.The title shown on the web site is an approximation in place and size. It's size and location on the phone are determined by your font defaults and the size of the phone screen. For best results use a program like PAINT and add the title to the image. Then set the Title field blank.
NO SPELL CHECK ON THE PROFILE TEXT EDITORThe Profile Text editor has basic functionality. It is best to compose your text in Word and then Cntrl C (copy) and Cntrl V (paste) into the editor. Remember to click inside the editor when using Cntrl V or it won't work.
